About AK-47 | Case Hardened
The AK-47 | Case Hardened was added on 14 August 2013 as part of The Arms Deal update. It’s tied to The Arms Deal Collection, making it one of the classic early AK skins that helped start the whole “pattern hunting” culture.
The finish is based on real case hardening, where metal gets heat-treated and ends up with mixed colors. In-game, that means a blend of blue, purple, and gold across the metal parts. What makes this skin special is that the pattern is not the same on every gun. Some have more blue, some have more gold, and a few rare patterns are worth a lot more because they look better.
You can’t get it from modern standard drops like most newer skins. People mainly get it today through trading or the market, and prices can change a lot depending on the exact pattern and wear.
Its rarity is Classified, which puts it in a higher-tier group of AK skins.
